Sun Zhaogui, Ph.D., Professor in developmental biology, supervisor of graduate students with Fudan University. Born in 1964, from Boxing County, Shandong Province. Ph.D degree was obtained in December 2002 from Institute of Developmental Biology Institute of Shandong University. During July 1989-June 2005, at Provincial Key Laboratory of Cancer Prevention and Treatment Technology with Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, engaged in cancer-related research, and in teaching of cell biology, molecular biology and modern genetics. From June 2005, worked at Lab of Reproductive Medicine and Biotechnology with Shanghai Institute of Planned Parenthood Research, as Principal Investigator of developmental biology research group. Current research directions: (1) molecular genetics of embryo implantation involved in the pathogenesis of related diseases; (2) follicular development and oocyte maturation, and the genetic mechanism of pathogenesis of premature ovarian failure; (3) recombinant cytokines and detection technology, related to early embryo development and embryo implantation.
Since 2000, published more than 30 articles, including 6 SCI papers. As project leader and key members, completed a total of 11 research projects, including five national ones. As one of the main participants received a first-class prize of Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award. Finished, as co-worker, a national college textbook of genetics and two national invention patents. At present, work in four research programs, two funded by the nation, and two by Shanghai government.
