Wu Qihan

       Wu Qihan, Male, born in September 1978, vice director of a research group in the Drug Development Section of the Shanghai Institute of Planned Parenthood Research (SIPPR) and an associate professor. He received a Doctoral Degree in genetics in Fudan University as an outstanding PhD graduate. After that, he began to work in East China Normal University. Funded by FFSCA from 2010 to 2012, he conducted post-doctoral research in INSERM and INRA of France. Then, he was employed in Shanghai Institute of Planned Parenthood Research (SIPPR) in 2016. As a doctoral student, he started to investigate gene functions. Since working, he has performed multiple medically related genetics studies, including a study on CRBN, a SNP analysis and functional study of lung cancer occurrence and prognosis and other gene studies associated with glioma, etc.. In recent years, he gradually turned to exploring diseases related epigenetics, including miRNA, DNA methylation and histone modification, which is principally targeted at tumors, diabetes and reproductive system diseases, etc.. Moreover, a series of epigenetics technologies, a new generation of deep sequencing technologies and associated data analysis methods have been also developed by him innovatively. In addition to many national and ministerial and provincial projects that he presides over, he has published more than 40 papers. Additionally, he used to be invited by some periodical offices such as BBA and Clinical Lung Cancer, etc. to review papers.
